Monthly Newsletter:
Our newsletter is emailed or faxed. It’s full of information about Loveland Business Team members, speakers, upcoming events, business happenings, and the Business Spotlight of the Month.

Business Spotlight:
Each month a collection of business cards from all attending members is gathered and a card is drawn. That business is featured as the Business Spotlight in our newsletter. An additional benefit is a gift certificate for $15, courtesy of McGraff’s Casual Dinnerhouse.

Marketing Display:
Members are welcome to hand out promotional materials at our meetings.

Networking:
Time is scheduled before meetings to visit with fellow business people and meet guests and new members. At the start of the meeting, each attendee makes a short introduction.

Informative Meetings:
LBT members are interested in their community, and we try to bring in interesting speakers to educate us about trends in business & politics, show us how to work smarter, or inspire us to a new level. The City of Loveland and the Chamber of Commerce representatives give a quick review of what is happening in the area.

Door Prizes:
Each month members donate door prizes or discounts to promote or introduce their services. Guests are eligible for a special drawing.

Referrals and Directory:
Our members like to do business with other members! The Membership Directory is a useful resource for members and guests alike. It is also handed out at community events.

Leadership Opportunities:
Join our Board of Directors or chair an event or project! We have fun being involved in the community!

Special Meetings:
Valentine Poetry Contest Awards Ceremony - Each February we sponsor a community Valentine Poetry contest. We receive hundreds of wonderful entries from all ages, and the judging is great fun, with plenty of laughter and a tear or two. The poets and the winners are honored at a special dessert celebration open to the public on the evening near Valentine’s Day.

Pizza Party and New Member Drive - Each October we hold a special evening social event. Recently it’s been a pizza party at McGraff’s Casual Dinning. This free event is a thank-you to our members and a way to introduce prospective members. By paying the next year’s dues, a member becomes eligible for a drawing for a weekend getaway at one of our local resorts.

December White Elephant Gift Exchange - One our most popular, FUN events! This special meeting opens with a gourmet buffet. The program consists of the White Elephant Gift Exchange. Members bring a wrapped gift which can be either a nice gift or a “white elephant.” As we go around the room, each member can either unwrap a new gift or can “steal” another member’s item. As you might guess, a nice gift will be very popular and will be stolen several times! LBT members share the Holiday Spirit - This is also a time when we gather clothing, toys and food items for our House of Neighborly Services Food Basket.

Projects and Events:
During the year Loveland Business Team may participate in several community events, such as the Road Knights Car Show, the Corn Roast Festival, and Octoberfest. In addition, our members often volunteer for other community events as fund raisers for LBT. Our service projects include donations in many different areas, including the House of Neighborly Services, Project Self-sufficiency, baskets for needy families during the holidays, scholarships, the Police Fair, Young Women of the West, Prom-O-Rama, Odyssey of the Minds, and the Boys and Girls Clubs.
